Part Time Kinder Care Government Funding

Affordability Grant Funding (AGF): Big Steps Academy (BSA) is licensed for a MAXIMUM of 12 AGF FUNDED kindergarten spaces per month.
Once we have 12 kinders sign up in one month that qualify for AGF, there will still be additional kinder spaces available, but they will not qualify for AGF for that month and will be charged at the full camp fee.
Grant funding is based on the number of hours/month a child is registered for. See below for more on how to calculate AGF.
Subsidy: Kinder children also potentially qualify for subsidy based on your family's total annual household income. If you already know that you qualify for subsidy, you are required to provide us with a copy of your subsidy approval letter so we can reduce your fees.
If you are unsure if you qualify, please email: to find out and if you receive and approval letter, you must provide that to us to process it to reduce your fees.
Subsidy is applied in addition to AGF, if your child qualifies for both.
How to Calculate Affordability Grant Funding (AGF) for children attending Kinder Summer Camps
AGF applies to kinder camps only and each month is calculated individually based on registered hours in care.
To calculate your AGF, take the total number of registered camps in ONE month, and then apply the grant amount as outlined below:
To calculate your total each month, please take the subtotal for your camps minus the grant amount you qualify for each month (see below).
July
1 camp - No Affordability grant
2 camps - Take $225 off of the subtotal
3 or 4 camps - Take $626 off of the subtotal
August
1 camp - No Affordability grant
2 camps - Take $225 off of the subtotal
3 or 4 camps - Take $626 off of the subtotal
Example:
3 camps in July = $626 off your camp total for that month
2 camp in August = $225 off your camp total for that month
